🥘 Ingredients
- • boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- • salt and pepper
- • flour
- • italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- • parmesan cheese
- • egg
- • milk
- • butter
- • olive oil
- • mozzarella cheese
- • marinara sauce
📝 Instructions
- 1 pound the chicken breasts between two slices of plastic wrap until about 1 / 4" thick
- 2 season with salt and pepper
- 3 dredge chicken in flour and shake off excess
- 4 dip in egg / milk mixture , then in breadcrumb / parmesan mixture
- 5 heat the butter and olive oil in a large deep skillet
- 6 brown the chicken breasts over medium heat until golden on each side
- 7 remove to a plate and keep warm
- 8 add the marinara sauce to the skillet
- 9 heat to boiling and simmer 10 minutes
- 10 add the chicken breasts to the sauce and sprinkle parmesan over them
- 11 place a slice of mozzarella on each piece of chicken
- 12 cover and simmer about 8- 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the chicken is tender
- 13 serve with your favorite pasta- we like linguine
