🥘 Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • unsalted butter
  • granulated sugar
  • milk

📝 Instructions

  1. 1 heat oven to 425f
  2. 2 put flour , baking powder and salt into a large bowl
  3. 3 stir mix well add butter and cut in with a pastry blender or rub in with your fingers , until the mixture looks like fine crumbs
  4. 4 add sugar
  5. 5 toss to mix
  6. 6 add milk and stir with a wooden spoon until dough forms ,
  7. 7 place dough on floured counter and knead gently until the dough comes together in a ball
  8. 8 pat or roll into a circle about 1 1 / 2 inches thick
  9. 9 cut each circle into 6 or 8 wedges
  10. 10 place wedges on a greased cookie sheet- slightly apart for crisp sides , touching for soft
  11. 11 bake about 12 minutes , or until medium brown on top
