  1. 1 sift together dry ingredients
  2. 2 set aside
  3. 3 blend together margarine and sugars
  4. 4 add egg & beat until light & fluffy then stir in vanilla
  5. 5 combine with dry ingredients & mix well
  6. 6 add remaining ingredients& mix well
  7. 7 drop by teaspoon onto greased or parchment-lined cookie sheets and bake in preheated 350f oven for 12 minutes
  8. 8 allow a few minutes longer if you prefer crisp cookies
