- 1 mix blackberries and sugar
- 2 let stand 20 minutes or until fruit syrup forms
- 3 mix together flour , baking powder , salt , and milk in ungreased 8 inch square pan
- 4 stir in butter until blended
- 5 spread evenly in pan
- 6 spoon blackberries over batter
- 7 bake at 375 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until dough rises and is golden
- 8 serve warm
