  • โ€ข pork ribs
  • โ€ข light brown sugar
  • โ€ข hickory smoke salt
  • โ€ข paprika
  • โ€ข garlic powder
  • โ€ข ground red pepper
  • โ€ข barbecue sauce

๐Ÿ“ Instructions

  1. 1 preheat oven to 300 degrees f
  2. 2 line a baking sheet with two layers of foil , shiny side out
  3. 3 peel off tough membrane that covers the bony side of the ribs
  4. 4 season the ribs on both sides with salt and pepper
  5. 5 if using , divide the hickory liquid smoke evenly over the ribs
  6. 6 in a medium bowl , combine the light brown sugar , paprika , garlic powder and ground red pepper
  7. 7 apply the rub to all sides of the ribs
  8. 8 lay ribs on the prepared baking sheet , meaty side down
  9. 9 lay two layers of foil on top of ribs and roll and crimp edges tightly , edges facing up to seal
  10. 10 transfer to the oven and = bake for 2-2 1 / 2 hours or until meat is starting to shrink away from the ends of the bone
  11. 11 remove from oven
  12. 12 heat broiler
  13. 13 cut ribs into serving sized portions of 2 or 3 ribs
  14. 14 arrange on broiler pan , bony side up
  15. 15 brush on sauce
  16. 16 broil for 1 or 2 minutes until sauce is cooked on and bubbly
  17. 17 turn ribs over
  18. 18 repeat on other side
  19. 19 alternately , you can grill the ribs on your grill to cook on the sauce
