  • unsalted butter
  • sugar
  • eggs
  • pure vanilla extract
  • salt
  • baking powder
  • flour
  • milk
  • confectioners' sugar
  • half-and-half

📝 Instructions

  1. 1 preheat oven to 375f
  2. 2 in a large bowl , cream together butter and sugar
  3. 3 add in the eggs , two teaspoons vanilla , salt and baking powder
  4. 4 add flour and milk in batches , starting and ending with flour
  5. 5 stir until batter is smooth and satiny
  6. 6 fill paper-lined muffin tins with batter
  7. 7 bake at 375 for 18- 20 minutes
  8. 8 for frosting , whip together the box of confectioners' sugar , half-and-half , and one teaspoon vanilla until smooth and fluffy
  9. 9 allow cupcakes to cool about 45 minutes and frost
  10. 10 hint i added about one extra teaspoon of vanilla to the batter
